Video to Audio Converter — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-17

Video to Audio Converter (“we”, “the app”) converts video files to audio and trims audio clips. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. What we collect

Your media files: none of it is collected by us. When you pick a video or audio file, it is read, converted, and/or trimmed entirely on your device. The app has no account system and no backend server — your files are never uploaded anywhere.

Advertising ID: the app shows ads via Google AdMob. To do this, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK collects your device’s Advertising ID and shares it with Google for ad serving and measurement. See Google’s advertising & measurement policy for what Google does with it. You can reset or opt out of ad personalization any time from Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland can withdraw ad-personalization consent from in-app Settings → Ad privacy options.

We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any file contents.

2. Permissions we request and why

Permission Why
Read videos / audio / storage Let you pick a file to convert or trim, and save the result
Notifications Show conversion/trim progress (with a cancel action) and completion
Foreground service (data sync) Let a conversion or trim keep running if you leave the app
Internet / network state Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request and show ads
Advertising ID Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK for ad serving/measurement

None of these are used to read, inspect, or transmit the contents of your media files off the device.

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the app asks for ad consent using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before requesting any ad or initializing the ads SDK. You can change your choice any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.

4. Data retention & deletion

We don’t operate a server and don’t hold an account for you, so there is nothing on our end to delete. Converted/trimmed files are saved to your device’s Music library by default (or a folder you picked) and can be deleted like any other file on your device. To stop ad personalization, use Android’s device-level Ad settings or the in-app Ad privacy options above.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. The only data shared with a third party is the Advertising ID, shared with Google as described in Section 1.

6. Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children and is not part of Google Play Families.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top.
